Did lots and lots of reading. A lot of the reading felt a bit obvious, but learning how everything worked behind the scenes was interesting.
Installing Linux and using the command line was fairly straightforward, so I liked how it was very efficient. Currently dealing with what’s known as beginner’s high, but my plan is to stay consistent by doing a little bit each day.
The Software Carpentry course was confusing to follow, but using the softcover resource was straightforward and made it easier for me to understand the different commands. I also found the Motivation and Mindset section to be extremely top heavy, so I think it would be better if the content was sprinkled throughout the curriculum instead of it being right at the start when you just want to get on with learning how to code.
I plan to learn more about Git and to get used to using Git and GitHub. If I complete that, I’d also want start learning HTML.
